My Dell Studio 1555 runs about 30 degrees hotter while idle using the
opensource radeon driver then when using the FLGRX driver. If I actually
use my laptop (playing games etc) the temperature go

ubuntu claims to be linux for human beings... as long as I have to use
the command line just to set my primary monitor then ubuntu has failed.
And don't be all "its an upstream issue" because they are not the onces
claiming to be for human begins, you are.
