Every time my system installs new software it tells me that a new

I have used the fix in https://askubuntu.com/questions/838491/dpkg-
divert-error-rename-involves-overwriting-error-after-upgrading-
from-16-04/838673#838673. I hope it cures the problem.

I have re-run the command on the correct computer, which is an ASUS
32-bit 1015PEM eeepc. I hope you can sort out the reports.
