When I did a scan of services which I can get through my DVB-T TV card
(with the dvb:// location), it failed to detect any of the six DVB-T
multiplexes broadcasting from the Emley Moor transmitter:

Looking on Ubuntu forums, a forum member has said this could be
intentional. Try System > Preferences > Appearance, then click the
Interface tab and select the 'Show icons in menus' option to restore all
icons. But surely, this is a regression? I can't see how an update to
remove icons from menus i
Noticed an update to the new volume control, which integrates all of the
options for digital/analogue options to allow digital output to work out
of the box. Unless someone else has a problem, this is fixed for me.

After updating on 2009-07-30, I have noticed that icons are missing from
the Places and System options in the Gnome menu, as well as the User
Switch Applet and from the drop down menus in every Gnome application.

Notice the new volume control has been reintroduced for Karmic Alpha 2,
and the same problem is there, no way to toggle digital audio, although
you can now do it by installing the Pulseaudio Volume Control, it should
still be there in Sound Preferences out of the box.

The latest snapshot in Karmic does finally allow you to edit the channel
numbers to their logical channel number (LCN), however it still defaults
to ordering the channels by name every time you start Kaffeine and still
doesn't pick up the channel number when it scans.

The problems with Banshee not playing internet streams (in particular

ironically finding an answer as to why WMA streams wouldn't play in

Affects Firefox 3.5b4 in Karmic. A great website to get Firefox to
segfault is http://www.getcloser.com/ and then click the listen live
link which launches a new window. When the Flash content has loaded, and
you close the new window - segmentation fault every time.

I get the same if I update. If I uninstall and then reinstall kmplayer
and kmplayer-base then I get the following:
