Path for fix is apt-get install gnome -> select lightdm -> then enable
unity via ccsm , by itself dconf , setsid and ccsm do nothing without
installing gnome

I did the usual unity work arounds but unity & x doesn't allow me to
select session manager. When starting unit manually it says dbus refused
connection. This is the third dell box the latest security updated
screwed up.

yeah , i get this same problem , but only with compiz .. looks like it tries
to do something that that perticular card doesnt like ...

i got it working with feisty a while ago by doing that DSDT.aml edit thing
on the gentoo forums (not the wiki link). from the looks of it we have to
make a DSDT.aml for each model in the series. there even is a site that
keeps track of them , so if you mak
