Uhm, yes. Can you give me the exception that's thrown without the patch?
I'd first like to fix this crash, and then add more code, the patch is
adding a bit too much feature at this point, so I'd rather have it
reviewed by Luka first. I'd like to fix the crash anyway, quickly.

Userconfig: When changing the primary group of an user, the group is not
changed in the users home directory

I'm inclined to not do anything about this, changing the primary user's
group is something you only do when you know the exact implications of
that, and that included fixing groups yourself. I wouldn't want a tool
to run over my homedir and change the file permissions automatically.

There is no 'debugging mode' for guidance, so I suppose it's not easily
possible to create something like a debugging package.
Your backtrace is useless, yes. I'd expect a python backtrace showing up
on the commandline.
By the way, does running "kcmshell displayconfig" show something in the

Is this really the commandline output from displayconfig? I'm especially
interested in a python backtrace, everything else is essentially
useless.
