Sorry for the delay even after switching back to the Wayland with the
hack for almost 25 days i was unable to reproduce this and was about to
conclude it to be fixed somehow, but today it happened(finally ! 🙃 ).

It occurred today, the GDM screen also appears very slow.
Compressed all the files in a zip file as i could not figure attaching multiple
files at one go with launchpad.
Note: This occurred with the x11 session as i have not yet enabled the

I removed waagent, ran this command 'rm -Rf /var/lib/waagent' and
upgraded cloud-init to 19.1.

I think you should try with ubuntu 16.04 ( haven't tried myself though ).

Interestingly, I also tried to boot using v4.4-rc5-wily kernel with ubuntu

17.3. Because I have already tried installing 17.3 beta cinnamon and it did not
boot.

After following the steps given by Oren Gampel and getting Eclipse
working, you can close Eclipse and revert settings back to use oxygen-
gtk for GTK2 apps. Eclipse works fine after that.

A work around that works for me is killing the NetworkManager process
using "sudo killall NetworkManager". The daemon re-starts and the
network is restored.

Yes so how to open it?
I have asked vuze to use that port for incoming connections.
I thought
sudo iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --dport 48261 -j ACCEPT
opens up the port.
when I try to tell gufw to allow incoming connection from that port it says
error carrying the operation.
It doesn't say what t
I've already checked that. there is nothing listening on that port.
The problem is vuze gives NAT problems.
This doesn't happen in windows.
Hence it is an ubuntu specific problem.
portscan doesn't show any open port in the torrent range.

I just reinstalled oneiric and now glx works fine.
The nvidia drivers were installed themselves.
