I have a problem connecting on my x1 carbon - actually I didn' suceed to
connect on win8 either even though I updated all drivers firmaware etc.
On windows I don't know how to see whats going on and I use ubuntu for

The same config works fine with a huawei e770 (everthing the same but
the wwan card...).
Usually I get:
GSM connection failed: (32) No cause information available
when observing the comm via minicom i get:
GSM connection failed: (32) Seri
it seemed to me someone in this report mentioned that he had the same
phenomen - which ist also that the system gets quite slow on logging in
and sometimes on opening files - whicht is due to the timeout.
ill have a look if i can finde the report again (becaus its not the one
mentioned above) - i

i set up a clean karmic installation and i still get:
udisks --enumerate

i updated to lucid and now there is no possibilty to use external drives
anymore. also the disk manager is not working most of the times. the
user has the right priveliges. ic ould track down the problem to this:
when i enter:
udisks --enumerate
somehow this is nonsense. one cant really use unr like this - there must
be a way to set this straight. i was especially troubled because i
updated to lucid an suddenly my go-home applet diappeared and i could
not edit the panel... ill just uninstall the unr settings now. who needs
unr if it only h
