Hi Doug - wow this original bug report was a long time ago! I don't think
i have ever had to do this same action again, but thanks for letting me

Sorry mate but I have binned this dreadful version of what was a decent bit
of software before it got hooked up to Kubuntu/Ubiquity. I have no intention
of trying to install it again.
The crash of PartMan completely trashed my hard disk, making it impossible
to boot the previously installed versio
OK - a possible quick workaround for this bug. Hover mouse over the
cell with an email address in it and RIGHT click. If you are lucky you
will get a "Default Formatting" option. Click on this and it will
change the formatting to the default for the rest of the document. It
can then be edited.
Hope this is the right place to add a comment. I am using openoffice
2.3 under simplymepis 7.0 - which i presume uses the ubuntu package. If
I type an email address into a cell in Calc - it changes colour to blue
with a grey background and then refuses to allow any editing. I cannot
