I can confirm the same bug, as reported by cassel. The bug is also observed on my Dell Inspiron 6000 with Hardy-i386 updated to date. I use two keyboard layouts: US English and Russian, with a Ctrl+Shift shortcut to switch between the layouts. After every reboot, I can use US English layout only.
