Sound just stops working randomly. Everytime it stops working I
reinstall alsa and reboot, then it works for a while and then it stops
working again after a few minutes.

I faced this problem first time after I installed updates from the
Ubuntu 14.10. Moreover, for a long period I am facing an issue that does
not start the network after resuming from sleep mode. I needed to
restart the system to get the network working.

I am not sure whether this is a bug in ubuntu per-se.
I had switched off wireless using the side switch, but could never
enable it back via toggling the switch.
Ultimately, i rebooted using "lenovo quick start" (the "QS" button on
the lower right side of the screen), and was simply able to enable
