Description
No menu is shown in applications when installed with snap. Startup of
libreoffice is extremely slow. When installing with "apt install libreoffice"
menus are shown and startup is very fast.
Expected:
Menu bar is shown

Seems like 4.13.8 kernel has a fix. I had a proper reboot right after
installing the new kernel. After that I'm still seeing the same shutdown
message but laptop is able to reboot properly without a stall.
Although this has caused other weird boot error messages which I have to
take a look.

I've copied the same file mentioned by Mohamed and it worked for that
particular session, despite getting the same message on shutdown. But
after reboot the stall issue continued to persist. Other problem is,
this also effects saving other information on shutdown, like backlight
level.

You are right. This is NOT the same bug but stunningly happens with this kernel
while the "share + more actions" on firefox worked fine with the ubuntu kernel.

I just booted into the kernel 4.10.0-20 by Seth Forshee and encountered this

Most definitely the bug #1674838 is the main thread dealing with this
issue. I followed the suggestion and installed a maintainer's commit.
Hopefully a new kernel with full commit will be released soon (June 5 is
the date mentioned on that thread). Thanks @pmow for research!

@martin, this issue only fixed by Lenovo BIOS engineers. There is not

I took a look inside the doc for pygame.image.load and found this:
"Pygame may not always be built to support all image formats. At minimum it
will support uncompressed BMP.
If pygame.image.get_extended() returns 'True', you should be able to load most
images( including png, jpg and gif ).
This seems to have slipped through the cracks in the past few releases.

This is not the correct bug for discussion of whether the change should
be reverted or whether there should be an option; this particular just
happens to have been effectively fixed with the removal of the button.
That was an upstream decision, and is best discussed at the GNOME
bugzilla or Nautilu
This bug is not suitable for inclusion in the papercuts project, if it
continues in Maverick, as it apparently involves a non-trivial fix that
needs new code to be written, most likely upstream.

I can verify that application and system indicators are not grouped
separately as specified in
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DesktopExperienceTeam/ApplicationIndicators. The
screenshot shows Transmission and Rhythmbox indicators interspersed
among system indicators.

I have the exact same experience: just the wallpaper, and a panel with
the clock, "zones" and the network item in it upon hitting the top
