I am having the same problem. Keyboard also freezes during log ins. I
can't do anything to collect bug reports since input devices can not be
used for a couple of minutes after each boot. I would be more than happy
if someone gives me instructions to collect data via a ssh from another
machine righ

I also have the same issue with Nvidia 8600 gt on a AMD X2 system. I
tried both nouveau open source drivers and proprietary drivers. On
classic ubuntu desktop everything is OK. On unity desktop, lag is

Because of this bug I have gone back to jaunty. There, when I added a
repository for firefox, it upgraded my xulrunner and installed sth called
xulrunner-gnome-support. Then I began to have the same problem. After
downgrading xulrunner to whatever in the official repos my
this bug also cripples my system as well. i don't know why none of the
workarounds gave me a consistent solution. They fix the system for a while, but
then for some reason I go back to square one(I guess I install something, or
something changes configuration files). This is the biggest problem
after updating the system, problem arises again, and you have to do

broke the system again, I guess it was gvfs update which broke it again)

1-Delete an item, (use delete key, drag and drop an item into a trash
icon-desktop-applet..etc, or drag and drop the item into an open trash:///

2- Item disappears
3-But the trash folder still (trash:///) looks empty
