When I change the Gateway or anything at all in the Identity tab of a
VPN connection settings the Apply button does not enable. Same for the
Details tab. Only the IPv4/6 tabs seem to trigger the enablement of the
Apply button.

So indeed I had a broken memory module. I had installed 2x1GB, but only 1
showed. (the 860 is due to the video controller using 200-odd MB system RAM)

FWIW this affects me too. I installed pretty much exactly the same
installation (Ubuntu + Kodi + Steam) on two Mac minis, two days ago.
You can compare the devices if you wish - MacMini 4,1 and 5,1
respectively. 4,1 works fine, 5,1 does not.

Changing mirrors didn't do anything for me, but the forum thread Arup
linked to had the fix for me. After doing:
sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386
sudo apt-get update
I was finally able to install skype with:
sudo apt-get install skype

I'm having the same problem in 11.04 using an onboard Radeon HD 3200
with the proprietary drivers enabled, so it's not an nvidia-only
problem. It's really annoying, notifications are completely unusable
this way.

more stable then the older 1.0. Secondly, the 2.0 is planned to be
released before the end of the year.
The packages on our website are built by me, but I'm not fully sure if

I am running 10.04 (final) on a MacBook Pro 5,5 and the workaround
described by Harm and pauls does not work. Even though after resume from
suspend the screen is clearly on maximum brightness, both
/sys/devices/virtual/backlight/mbp_backlight/brightness and
/sys/devices/virtual/backlight/mbp_backli
Same on HP Mini 5101 and 10.04. I have this problem on Arch with 2.6.32
too. Using wl instead of b43 solves problem

I tried to use a HUAWEI E196 UMTS Stick with Ubuntu.
In the last Beta the Stick was not recognized, (Only GPRS, but no UMTS/HSDPA)

I upgraded the affected machine to Hardy Heron alpha 5 and re-enabled
tracker (I completely removed tracker from the gutsy system and didn't
encounter the problem anymore)
I used the system with the 2.4.24 kernel. Unfortunately, the problem
persists and kicks in a few moments after trackerd starts
