I use netbook MSIWind U135 and ubuntu 10.10. I'm unable to reboot or
shut-down the computer. When i tried to reboot or shutdown the ubuntu
hangup. It is probably caused by the wifi card driver. The result of the
command shutdown is listed bellow (kernel message):

After update from Kubuntu 10.04 to 10.10 sound is muted after the
reboot, or after boot-up. The issue occurs always. I use following sound
card integrated with mainboard (lspci):

In my case helps the workaround by adding command listed bellow in the
startup scripts just after pulse audio boot:
amixer -c 0 -- sset Side playback 100% unmute

The issue also occurs on the Desktop PC on the Kubuntu 10.10. It isn't
the ALSO or pulse audio bug? I noticed that the after reboot, "Side
channel" is muted, after i click unmute on kmix "Side channel" set to
100% volume

I've a IBM thinkpad t22 and with alsa driver. I`m using Ubuntu 6.10.
When i try record sound using arecord filename.wav arecord utils hangup.
But if i use the OSS subsysytem using sox rec utility I can do
everything correctly without any problem.
