Hi, I've tried the fix given by alexander on hardy 8.04, but this has
not cured the network-manger issues.
FF3 still starts offline, and I cannot enter Prism, which thinks I am
offline, but offers no way to change this.

I was trying to rename a folder with the name 'folder' for example to
'Folder' -- with a capital letter, but got the following warning:
THE ITEM COULD NOT BE RENAMED
The name "Folder" is already used in this folder. Please use a different name.
bingo - that seems to have got it.. I'd read that report, but not fully
understood just how simple the fix was or how really to apply it.. but
seems to have fixed it fine.

been stable for weeks - however I made a small change to a pretty
average php page -- but now everytime I open it with bluefish it
crashes... I've tried to open this file with a
well.. I'm a little sheepish to admit that I got so desperate that I
logged in to Windows.. in the back of my not so technical mind was the
possibility of the thought... "try it in Windows and see if it's that
cheap-shit mouse broken already, even though it has some worthless
lifetime warranty"...
