I run Ubuntu 20.04 + openconnect 8.05-1 and since today I have this
issue, too. I did not have it when I used openconnect the last time (one
or two weeks ago).

scripts/-/raw/master/vpnc-script
2) + installing it in /usr/share/vpnc-scr
I can confirm this issue after a fresh install of Lubuntu 20.04 on a
Medion Akoya P8610, too.

Hardware as reported in comment #15 [WLAN adapter (10ec:8821) in a
Lenovo Ideapad 110S-11IBR, Pentium N3710, 4GB RAM, 256GB SSD
(80WG005YGE)]. I checked some kernels - here are the results:
kernel 4.4.0-79-lowlatency : problem exists -> no data transmission @ 5GHz
kernel 4.4.0-83-lowlatency : prob
Exactly the same problem STILL EXISTS in Ubuntu's 16.04.2 LTS recent
kernel (4.4.0-78-lowlatency). Hardware is the same WLAN adapter
(10ec:8821) in a Lenovo Ideapad 110S-11IBR, Pentium N3710, 4GB RAM,
256GB SSD (80WG005YGE).
Why has that not been fixed yet (after 18 months!) in the recent LTS
kern
(1) This bug affects me, too.
(2) The proposed change in comment #8 [1] of this report and in comment #2 [2]
of duplicate #1692205 fixes the problem.

It is sad but true: More than two years later in netpbm (2:10.0-15.3) of
Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS the bug is still not fixed :-(
Fortunately, there is another tool set (ImageMagick) which has a working
conversion tool (convert). So one can convert xwd output to file.png by
executing:
xwd -root -display
I have Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS (xenial) and ttf-mscorefonts-installer
(3.4+nmu1ubuntu2).
More than FOUR years have passed and this bug is still not fixed. And it
is even worse now: This version does not work any longer with the hard-
wired download URLs (which are forwarded to other URLs):

I confirm that this bug also affects my Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS (GNU/Linux
4.4.0-51-lowlatency i686) system (with all updates as of today, even
those from xenial-proposed).
However, in my case the failure (rpc.mountd[]: mountd: could not
create listeners) occured only in about 50% of all boot processes
I had the same problem in Lubuntu 16.04.1 (running on Intel Skylake
hardware).
After upgrading xserver-xorg-video-intel:amd64 from version
2:2.99.917+git20160325-1ubuntu1
to
2:2.99.917+git20160325-1ubuntu1.1
the problem was gone.

When a 64-bit Lubuntu 14.04.2 persistent Live system on an USB flash
drive (LiveUsbPendrivePersistent) is upgraded so that a new kernel is
installed then the next (re)boot will fail. The user is dropped to the
busybox shell prompt of the initial RAM file system:

I investigated this issue again and it is more tricky than I initially
thought.
The rules (see attachment) are supposed to create a symbolic link in
/etc/X11/ (it worked ALWAYS perfectly in Ubuntu 12.04 on the same
hardware). The problem seems to be due to a race condition (and not due
to naming.
