This is very interesting.
I decided to install Gnome (sudo apt-get install gnome-session fallback)
and remove Unity (sudo apt-get remove unity). This in turn removed
ubuntu-desktop and the Gnome was unusuable (no launcher, just plain
desktop). So I reinstalled unity (sudo apt-get install unity) an
No, stylus doesn't work on the login screen, but touch input does.
I have heard that there used to be an utility that provides debug output
from input-wacom tools. Maybe it is worth trying to install that?

Just did a fresh install of current precise (used beta 2 and apt-get
update && apt-get upgrade afterwards) and the problem is still present.
I'm attaching my /var/log/Xorg.0.log and xinput list-props output for
stylus/stylus eraser (which isn't registering either) and touch (which
is working).

Almost three weeks with no response :(
Is there any way I can help get this bug resolved; any diagnostic output
or tests?

Unfortunately I can't reproduce the bug any more.
Couple days after I submitted the bug, everything started working as expected.
Last couple of weeks there were quite a few kernel/gnome/nvidia updates, that
might have fixed the bug.
I'll close the bug for now - will reopen if I'll notice smth f

stock kernel is using only 3.6 GB of RAM instead of 4 GB, which I have, was

So after some googling I installed the 2.6.24-17-server kernel, as it's
compiled with HIMEM support. After r
