While installing softwares the gimp-help-common failed to install
generating a crash report, and the remaining installation process
continued till completion.
Error obtained after installation of remaining packages:

I am able to see the volume applet.I am not able to see any hardware in
the "hardware' tab .
The hardware tab is empty . Let me know how to proceed .

This is Not A problem At all.
If you have Installed Ubuntu Along With Windows,
Windows Xp:
boot with windows xp cd,
go to repair screen,
choose your Windows and then Type
fixmbr
and
fixboot
then Reboot
Windows 7 And Vista
boot with windows cd,
After The Language Selection ,Click Repair Yo

there is one more problem which i didnt report. when i start the ubuntu i
get a message broken bios suspected.
but still it logs in then i updated it to 9.04. after the restarted it was
not logging in. i logged in with reduced graphics
and was able to enter the 9.04. from here i updated
