Public bug reported:

When print screen button is pressed, a white image covers the entire
screen. When Shift+Print screen is pressed the selected area is covered
with white color, behind which the 'gnome-screenshot' dialog box
appears. I can not recover by pressing Alt-F4, Escape, but only by
pressing Tab thrice and then Enter (which essentially saves the image in
Pictures).

Happens only with 'gnome-screenshot' and others like 'shutter' is
working well.
