nvidia-settings report a GPU temperature (during normal compiz enabled desktop usage) of about 86-88 C. I suppose this is a bit too high for normal usage. Are there anyone here who has observed such high GPU temperatures? -- [hardy] nvidia + compiz + xorg freezes for a few minutes https://bug

I have never observed this behaviour on my 32-bit hardy desktop (AMD Athlon, nvidia FX 5200). My notebook (nvidia 6150), which is affected, is running 64-bit hardy (even with latest nvidia-beta 173 driver). Also nvidia-settings on desktop doesn't show "Thermal Monitor" whereas on the notebook

Public bug reported: xorg in hardy seems to freeze randomly, eg while scrolling in browser, playing video etc. During the freeze, keyboard and mouse do not respond. Alt+SysREq keys do not work. Sound output seems to be in a loop. However one can ssh into the machine! No high CPU usage. Also i

Looking at plog and knowing the status of the connection attempt is a bit tedious. Also since nm doesn't set the status as connected, epiphany, evolution etc startup in offline mode. -- [Hardy] network manager allows to connect via gprs, but shows "offline" icon https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs

The problem seems to be fixed from me after the latest updates (kernel - 2.6.24-16-generic). The console text is visible & in single user-mode ncurses dialog also has visible text. -- Cant boot in single-user mode (recovery-mode) on Hardy Heron powerpc https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/203206 Y

This happens even on amd64 hardy build (upgraded from gutsy). single-user mode boot results in a ncurses like display but with no text. In normal-boot VTs only have blinking cursor without any text. The cursors are positioned where it should be if there was text. I can login into console & type
