The Final (Ubuntu 32 Bit) has the same problem. ACPI=off runs fine.
The quality of ubuntu constantly get worse...

the RC was the current version while testing, i tested on the release date. the
beta shows exactly the same problem. i don't have the time to test every
nightly build...
i cannot get any debug information, because the system hangs a few seconds
after booting, it must be a kernel problem.
