The "Could not locate dkms.conf file" error wasn't enough. Knowing what
it was looking for IMMEDIATELY showed me what the problem was. For
whatever reason, the version number reflected in the folder

After updating to the latest kernel, a USB Hub/switch that used to work
has a problem. It works initially when booting up my Linux Mint system,

I just had this same issue occur with an upgrade from trusty to xenial.
Wouldn't even let me uninstall the squid package from the newly upgraded
system until I created the directory '/var/spool/squid3', then the

Fixed by uninstalling nvidia drivers:
sudo apt-get purge nvidia*
Then running the gsettings command from post 11.
Once I was back in, I installed the nvidia drivers via the 'additional
drivers' interface.

On previous releases to Saucy, man2html would work straight away when browsing
to http://localhost/cgi-bin/man/man2html
On saucy I had to enable the apache2 cgi module with

requirements.

Hi Michael,
I have tried other scanner applications, which use xsane. None of them
work. I agree that it is a xsane-backend problem. How do I re assign
the bug to a different package?
Also the scanner used to work in 10.04 so it should be fixable.

consistentantly detect the CanoScan N670U. Sometimes it shows up as a
