I experienced exactly the same problem on Ubuntu 20.04. I solved this
way:
1. First I stopped cups-browsed: systemctl stop cups-browsed
2. Then I manually added my printer (an HP OfficeJet 6950) clicking on the
"Add.." button in the Preferences, and manually selected the name from the
database,

Based on comment #43 I created a (a little) more friendly workaround for
my users, based on a shell script prompting the user using zenity. I'm
sharing it here, hoping it can be useful to someone. Hope we won't need
it for a long time.

I can confirm that Cedric's solution worked for me. But I'd prefer not
hard coding the distribution name in the script.
So this is how I changed /opt/teamviewer8/tv_bin/script/tvw_main, it
should work even after you upgrade your distribution to a new release,
as long /etc/lsb_release file is upgra

What happened instead: when you double click on generated .desktop files you
