No, it doesn't really matter. It is just annoying to those of us who
appreciate clean logs and systems. You could also simply write a line in
the rsyslog config to discard it. That is actually where I went with it as
it was the least change to the default system and most easily replicated in
my env

Marvin, thanks for that regulatory database hint. I hadn't seen that yet.
I'll try it next time I get my laptop out. I've sadly been booting up
Windows frequently due to this bug and really want to stop that. :-)

Since the config for xconsole output in rsyslog has survived despite
broken for over 5 years now, I suggest removing that from the default
config will reduce confusion and clearly create no new problems. Those
wanting it have had to actively repair this for 5 years and shouldn't
have trouble adding
I have been experimenting with the transparent HTTP proxy on my
Watchguard XTM firewalls. The HTTP proxy was catching the update
requests over HTTP because they had no content_type. I added the
following domain exceptions to resolve this: archive.canonical.com,
*.ubuntu.com, ppa.launchpad.net, linu
I find this intemittently with my split vpns. I get successes of 1 in 3.
Once it's up, it's solid though. It'll run all day so annoying but not a
critical stop for me. I'm seeing also that driver issues with tun0 when
it fails. Thanks for all the work on this folks.

Corosync's init script properly fails to start by default to protect us.
I get that, but the wild goose chase that a new user ends up on is a UX
bug and in at least one case, I saw a user who simply changed distros
because he couldn't figure it out claiming Ubuntu wasn't ready
So I did run into the problem mentioned here and installing
drbd8-utils_8.4.3-0ubuntu0.12.04.1_amd64.deb fixed that so I validate.
(Glad to in the end be able to contribute something.)
I'm now finally watching /proc/drbd show syncing on this new drbd setup.

I believe I was experiencing this same problem on 12.04.3. I did a dist-
upgrade which install the current lts-raring kernel and rebooted. This
resolved my hangup.

I can also confirm that this shows up on two fresh installs of Precise.
It was the first things I installed after setting up the lvm lvs to put
drbd8 on top of.

In 12.04.3 it now appears that the version 8.4.2 is in the kernel, but
the userland tools have stayed static making the version gap grow. Could
this be why when I run "service drbd start" it never kicks me back to
the prompt until I hit Ctrl+C?

Here is my series of commands that solved my problem. Unfortunately, I
seem to have lost the version of xfreerdp that works with RDP Gateways.
I may have to just do without a GUI and write up a bunch of little
scripts for each connection so I have that feature available.

I disagree that this is not a bug. The repository was installed by
Ubuntu software when I was installing a printer, not by me. When it
installed it put a key in, but it put in an invalid key. If Ubuntu is
going to enable these things, it should do it with a proper key not a
bad key.

It's a novell product that synchronizes remote folders two-ways. It has
a central server and then clients for linux, windows and mac. It looks
like some people have gotten it to run on Dapper and Edgy, but Edgy
seems to have some conflict with a mono module for apache that is a bit
of a hurdle.

plugged into two separate networks. Each nic gets an IP through DHCP and
then applies DNS and default route settings. Depending on which NIC
comes up first, it overwrites the DNS settings the other applies.
