I test this on my laptop, unity[-3d] is finally usable at last.
(DualCore 2.1GHz, Intel MHD4500, 2Gb RAM).
Previously unity was very sluggish, even for actions like moving windows.
Disabling the unity plugin in ccsm did show potential, but we need that plugin
for the desktop itself.

afaik, lash is being deprecated in debian, in favour of ladish and
jack-session.
if UbuntuStudio still has any lash dependent software (lashd, lashwrapper,
or similar), it should be removed from the seeds.
if not, maybe some app requires rebuild.

When using PyQt < 4.5.0, QtSixA crashes when creating a new profile.
This won't be a problem for Ubuntu 9.10/Karmic users
For Jaunty users, a workaround is to install a newer version of PyQt.
They can use the Kubuntu-PPA repo:

I'm working on an application to do this automatically.
For now, I have made a simple GUI based on zenity.
You can connect and disconnect it, and it doesn't not require downgrade
bluez-utils.
(It runs on 32-bit, 64-bit, sparc and powerpc)
