Every time I launch firefox, the display becomes a number of horizontal

"chromium-browser" (v 12), or by downloading the deb file directly from

Several times, Eclipse has crashed on me. I'm not really doing anything
(one time, I was just restarting it). Most times, I'm just moving the
cursor around. I can't really reproduce this, but it happens several
times per week (with me using it probably 40+ hours per week).
This is VERY annoying and makes use of Ubuntu EXTREMELY difficult.
Please fix this.
