Wouldn't you know! Yesterday when I was doing this, ANYTHING I saved to docx format had all formatting lost (Heading 1, heading 3, numbered lists, centering, etc.). Today, NOTHING is lost. I even take the same file that I recreated and saved as rtf, and resave it today as docx, and it if fine. I try to follow all the same steps I did yesterday, but cannot reproduce. One thing I did yesterday, was that I edited for a very long time. I hypothesize that one of two thing that I haven't yet tried caused the problem:
1. Perhaps editing for a long time and having the document auto-saved in a different format??? 2. Perhaps I "suspended" my ubuntu session???
