Binary package hint: firefox-3.0
After getting the message for weeks that I need to upgrade my Firefox
(although I have the most recent vers installed), and having the system
work, it stopped working today. I can not edit a message, thus can not
compose a message.

Thanks much for your suggestions. Before I got to try them, I did the daily
update of new patches available, and that seems to have done the trick. All
systems are working now!

Thanks for the suggestions. The problems all started when I did the 8.10
upgrdade. Until then, my system was working just fine. I am a newbie with
Ubuntu and Linux in general, and for the past few months have been happy with
Ubuntu 8.04. Biggest mistake I made was the 8.10 upgrade... especi
