That happens to me also on Ubuntu Gnome 17.04. It's not random though
but rather when the screen shuts off after I leave the computer
inactive. When I turn the screen back on, it's 90 degrees clockwise (and
quite puzzling to get the mouse working to be able to reboot because of
muscle memory).

Oh yeah that did fix it. The only problem remaining now is that when the
folder is used as the Desktop, the files won't go to the trash bin. But
that's no big deal as such.

When the update gets pushed out to users, will this bug report be
closed? It's been 20 days now and that's the only thing keeping me from
using Ubuntu 15.10 (as all my main user folders such as desktop, images,
etc. are all symbolic links to another partition)

Oh alright then, thank you.
I guess I'll wait until my router needs to be replaced before using
Ubuntu. I was hoping for this bug to be resolved but if it's nothing on
Ubuntu's part then there's nothing they can do! :)
Since my router isn't guaranteed anymore, they want me to pay for
support. So
I have the latest version.
But I don't understand if the problem only occurs when I'm using Ubuntu
how it's not a bug with Ubuntu.
