it disappeared after downloading, compiling and installing the 0.7 source
from the gtk-qt-engine home page (http://gtk-qt.ecs.soton.ac.uk/).
is there a wrong source-code package in the ubuntu tree ?

this is somewhat off topic:
i can't get amarok, xine or kaffeine to play mp3 even though i
have installed xine-extracodec. The only way to play mp3s is by
using the command line player "madplay". any ideas ?

Panasonic R4: hotkeys and s
Public bug reported:
as the subject suggests, the hotkeys (brigthness, volume etc)
don't work.
the pcc_acpi-drvier is loaded at boot time, but there is no entry in
/proc/acpi for it.
suspend to ram causes problems as well. after s3, the laptop will not
wake-up and has to be reseted.
** Affects:
don't know wheter this is of any interrest or not
the black menues appear on almost all apps except Firfeox (Bon Echo 2.0b1)
