I'm sorry to inform even with 3.17.0-031700rc3-generic the problem does not
seemed to be fixed.
Today I used the wireless in question for the first time since my last post and
after about 15 minutes usage I got bad connectivity and found the following in
dmesg.

since I do not use the eduroam wireless network daily I couldn't test it

Today I used it for about an hour with the 3.17.0-031700rc3-generic from
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.17-rc3-utopic/ without
any problems. I even "stress tested" the wireless for about 15 minu
I tested with the 3.16.1-031601-generic #201408140014 from
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.16.1-utopic/
The kernel booted without any problems. However after a short time in
the mentioned network the same error happend again.

I have the same problem. I still see the wireless networks. Sometimes
connecting to the network is possible but transfering datas is near to
impossible once the "fail to flush all tx fifo queues" happens.

I got the same problem with thunderbird (version 3.1.15) on kubuntu
11.04 and chromium.
chromium is set as default browser in kde system settings, in alternatives
x-www-browser and even gnome-www-browser and still thunderbird open all links
in mails with firefox.

removing samba was no real solution.
after starting kmail the dbus-deamon process of my user went back to 100%
kmail works sometimes. especial adding attachements to mails takes quit some
time.
and trying to open a pdf in okular fails.

and just after nmbd and smbd stopped the dbus-deamon process went from 100% to
something lower then 1%.
so apprently this has really something to to with samba.
