After upgrading to Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, my multi-seat setup stopped
working. My issue is what's described in

I've included the patch for bug 933822, I'm now reviewing the other patches in
order to include the relevant ones.
About the control file, I think the Provides and Replaces fields should
be added in case HexChat gets included in the official Ubuntu
I've setup a PPA with packages of HexChat for releases from Natty to Quantal.
Version 2.9.1 is currently available in it.

No, compiz is not the default window manager in Mint 12, it's mutter.
More than that, compiz is incompatible with gnome-shell (actually, when using
gnome-shell, mutter is the only window manager you can use, as gnome-shell is a
mutter plug-in).

As I said when posting the patch, I don't think it will fix all crashes,
but I need some specific informations on when the crashes occur to be
able to reproduce them and hopefully fix them

Hmm, weird, I tested and it worked fine.
Another solution then : you'll find in attachment the updated
extension.js file for mgse-menu.
Just replace /usr/share/gnome-
shell/extensions/m...@linuxmint.com/extension.js by this one.

To apply the patch, download the file then open a terminal and go to the
folder where you downloaded the file, then run :
sudo patch /usr/share/gnome-
shell/extensions/m...@linuxmint.com/extension.js mgse-menu.diff

I don't think it will prevent all crashes, but it will prevent some of them,
specifically the ones happening when opening the menu (and maybe some others).
