I can confirm, that Ubuntu 16.04 has this same problem again with Libreoffice.
Had no problems with 15.04 and 15.10.

I guess this is nbot a firefox bug. Karmic has problems with fullscreen
on my Dell Inspiron too. Fullscreen games, fullsecreen videos,
fullscreen picasa slideshow... Top panel is visible in fullscreen until
additional mouseclick.
