Update: I've updated to linux-generic-hwe-22.04 6.8.0-44 from "proposed"
and it has been running fine for about an hour now. I never got this
long with the 6.8.0-40 release.
It would always freeze between 5 and 10 minutes after booting, rarely it
would last up to 20 minutes.

This issue was previously reported in ticket 789898. The ticket was
closed as fixed, but the problem still exists and the information
required to solve the problem was not disclosed by the developer and is
not available elsewhere.
The Ubuntu alternate 11.10 i386 install crash
This is NOT fixed, because people are still experiencing the problem and
the information to fix it is not publicly available. I have resubmitted
the bug in ticket 909880.

I just tried to install 0.9 and had a problem on the install. I'm
probably missing something simple:
First Installation: checking all kernels...
Building only for 2.6.32-34-generic
Building for architecture x86_64
Building initial mod
I experience this bug on my machine that's setup as a dedicated MythTV
box. It automatically turns on and shuts down when it's scheduled to
record shows. So you can understand how annoying this bug is when the
auto shutdown hangs and never completes meaning it never turns back on
again to record

I can confirm this bug in linux-linaro-2.6.38 master and have tested Andy's
patch with both a DVI monitor attached and a LTE430WQ panel attached. Both
