Even 4.x is very old by now. The current version of cdt is 6.0.1, and it's the version meant to be used with the version of eclipse in Karmic (3.5.1) I'm trying the 3.x build in the repo with the version of Eclipse now to see if there are any glaring issues and I'll report back if I find any --
