its gotten to a point now where i cant even log in, even in failsafe.
even when i try to get into recovery mode, it freezes before i can even
choose the option! i dont know what to do! someone please help!

im having this same problem as well. i upgraded to 9.10 from 9.04
roughly 2 days after the release of 9.10 and did so through the update
manager. everything worked absolutely fine for about a week and a half,
untill 2 days ago, when all of a sudden it just locked up. hard reboot
yielded a black scr
