Looks like these notebooks can have different models of touchpads (Elan,
Synatics, Alps). I did the same for SYNA2B60 (ELAN0634 left as it was)
and got a perfectly working touchapd (it has double finger scrolling for
example). For ELAN0634 your approach didn't give any result.

save the scanned pages to a pdf file, but at some point crashes, leaving
the corrupted pdf.
I have also experienced crashed while saving to pdf under Fedora
I have Ububtu 11.10 and xarchiver 0.5.2svn-r29673 crashes whith the same error
when I try to open the *.7z archive file. I know that the archive itself is
just fine because I can open/extract it in file-roller without any issues.

I can confirm that xorg is causing high CPU usage after resuming from
suspend. I have Linuxmint 12 KDE. I resumed my computer and the CPU
usage stayed steady at 25%. I opened system monitor and Xorg was the
only process consuming that bandwidth. I have not modified any of my
Xorg settings.

Almost work in every mode. But some time not. It seems to me, that when problem
occur (DSL failed to connect) for the first time from cold boot OS and when I

to start testing from (and up to)?

What I've done - Open file in console by command:
sudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
and added to the end of file a line:
options snd-hda-intel model="lg"

May be problem was caused by updating from Ubuntu1
In opened "gnome-volume-control" talking directly to an internal microphone
hole, doesn't cause to move a input level meter.
And I yet doest have sound on internal notebook speakers.

After selecting "analog stereo duplex" in "Profile" combobox, now I can
