I have the same issue here, using lightdm-dtk-greeter.
If I select the unity-greeter, the behavior is ok, but in my
organization we need a bigger login box, for messages.

I'm on Gwibber 2.30.1 and Uubntu Lucid, and it's so annoying. The
notification messages show replies and retweets before referred
messages. It makes notification messages painful, because I need open
the main Gwibber window to read the updates in "correct" order (from
bottom to top).

Thank for you help. It was really the PCM channel, it was set to zero. I
just can't understand how could it be, as I haven't done this. And also
why it produces noise instead of zero sound.
