Public bug reported:

I'm using Ubuntu 7.10. The most java applications' components aren't
shown. The application's functionalities work normally.

I made a video and posted in YouTube (http://br.youtube.com/watch?v=Gl-
bq3_nOk0). in the video, I open Netbeans, click where should be the File
menu, press Arrow Left to go to the Help menu, press Arrow Up to go to
the About option and press enter tho show the About Window.

Versions of java tested: 1.4.2, java5 and java6 from Ubuntu repositories
and also java 5 SDK from Java site.

Applications that present this problem: Netbeans, ArgoUML.

Freemind also has problems, but looks like this othe bug:

Eclipse works fine and ArgoUML plugin for Eclipse works fine too. When
creating my self applications in Eclipse using Java Swing, the problem
persists. Translating these applications to Java Awt the components are
shown properly.
