I'm running Ubuntu 9.10 with latest updates. Right now this is happening
only in Pidgin (2.6.3-1ubuntu1~pidgin1.9.10), and has been happening
since early versions of Pidgin in Ubuntu 8.04, 8.10, 9.04.
Earlier, there were same problems with "Save as" windows, if the path
was too long, but it is fix

I think, this bug is the same as #469172. Aisleriot eats up all memory
and X session crashes.

Same on Karmic with latest updates and Inetl 865G video. File
descriptors start growing and growing up to the limit, then you get this
kind of message in dmesg: VFS: file-max limit 47311 reached. Closing the
game brings everything to normal. Tested only Spider Solitaire.
