I had rhythmbox running during this time, and there where some songs in
the library that where on a remote SFTP server that was not available.
I removed the songs from the rhythmbox library, killed gvfsd-sftp, and
restarted rhytmbox; and the problem no longer occurs.

Yes, the Live CD has o boot option to launch the Live CD, and another to
install directly. The install option starts an X server with just the
installer, no GNOME, etc., and during this phase the touchpad does not

"ifconfig" only shows the loopback interface.
The card works with the 2.6.27-3 kernel.

In the attached screenshot there are 4 files - JPEG and RAW/NEF versions
of two photos.
The RAW ones are oriented correctly and the JPEG are not.
One of the JPEGs is opened in EOG, and is oriented correctly.
I would expect all the images to be oriented similar to the RAW/NEF and

I just noticed that this only hapens for JPEG files, but not RAW (NEF)
files.
I take photos in JPEG+RAW, so there are two copies of the photo. The
thumbs for the NEFs have correct orientations, and the JPEG thumbs seem
to not have the orientation tag applied to them.

1. There is no 1.11 firmware for the D80 - maybe they put that in there
to make sure it works for future firmware too.
2. I'm not familiar with what should "UNUSUAL_DEV" contain, but a
similar change for the D40 was reported as fixing the bug for D40. I
assume that the "0x0100, 0x0110"
