I upgraded to 11.04 and love unity, with the exception of the fact that
it stole Hyper away from me. The start menu / app menu is already bound
to Super, and it should remain that way. I remapped Caps Lock to Hyper,
so that I can use it for IME swit
I had it happen at the very beginning of a song as well.
I completely agree on your second point: it only happens after a few
songs. Restarting the app eliminates the problem... for a while.

I didn't have a USB stick handy, so I used update-manager -d on a
10.04.1 install. It worked!
Assuming the bug is relegated to grub2, this means it's fixed on my

installation and boot process. This doesn't mean grub2's USB drivers are
not to blame (maybe the driver gets stuck at initialization time), but

I did a fresh install of 10.04.1 on the netbook, then updated to the
latest packages on 9/30, then updated to 10.10 via update-manager on the
same day. I'm having the same boot issue described before. So the
problem seems to be in grub2, not in ubiquity. Since 10.04.1 can boot,
this is a regression
@Robbie: To me, having a package installed by default in a distribution
is an implicit endorsement for the package, and a guarantee that the
developers have tested the package, and it works for most cases.

I made a /boot partition with 256mb, because I wanted btrfs on /. Every
time I upgrade the kernel, it runs out of space.
Please do the following to avoid this situation:
* delete old kernels when installing new ones, and/or

ruby1.8, ruby1.9, and ruby1.9.1 should set up their binaries using
Debian's alternatives system, so I can easily choose which one I want.
Ideally, the choices for related binaries (rubygems and irb) would be
linked to the choice of ruby.
