Now on 2.6.28-8.24-generic and running EXA (default on -ati, don't know
why it was XAA before), I have been through a bunch of suspend and
hibernation cycles without problems.
I also saw bug #331415 which could be related.
I am tempted to close this bug now, at least until I find a way to
reprodu
Interesting. I might have seen this with ipw2200. Does it also block
alt-sysrq during the 60 seconds? Would this be perfectly reproducible
(my troubles are not)?

I have been running without ipw2200 loaded for a while, and could
suspend and hibernate many times. Now it got hung, but this time sysrq
worked, and there was backtrace in Xorg.0.log. I think this is another
issue so I will report it separately, it crashed inside libxaa so
switching to EXA might ch
EXA is actually default for the -ati driver in Jaunty :)

This is not a duplicate, since in the other bug there is a server crash
with a backtrace in the log and the machine does not freeze.
I am pretty sure this is an AGP issue. Can you please take a look at

This is an Acer TravelMate 8100 with Intel chipset. The screen did not
turn on at resume, and alt-sysrq SUB did not work. I had to power it off
the hard way. The last lines in syslog might indicate there is something
with the ipw2200 wifi driver:

There used to be a hook in modprobe that would only load the fglrx
module if "fglrx" was specified as the driver in xorg.conf. Now that
xorg.conf is not used any longer (for ati at least, and I suppose for
fglrx neither?), this is no solution. I guess our X has been patched to
prefer the fglrx driv
