This really is what has been happening. I have started just logging into
windows to watch ota hdtv because of this annoying bug.

About 1 out of every 3 times that I try to watch tv with the me-tv
program, it starts up with "Unable to Loack Channel". I spent a lot of
time trying to get this hardware to work with Ubuntu, and finally got it
to work when I added the file xc3028L-v36.fw to the folder
