[Bug 609785] Re: When opened on 1024x600 easytag changes screensize with every mouseclick

2010-07-28 Thread Timo Reimann
I can confirm this bug for my 1280x768 display as well. Didn't use karmic at all but on jaunty, there was no such behavior. It makes easytag completely unusuable. Regards, --Timo -- When opened on 1024x600 easytag changes screensize with every mouseclick https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/609785 Y

2010-01-07 Thread Timo Reimann
Loïc, thanks for the explanation regarding quoting. However, my opinion is that the man-page should mention the necessity of quoting. In fact, it does so for the --removepackages option which accepts a space-delimited list as well, but misses that information for --bindmounts (and --extrapackages

[Bug 310021] Re: clicking on thunderbird new mail notification does not bring thunderbird window to the top

2009-06-09 Thread Timo Reimann
I can confirm this kind of buggy behavior for Ubuntu Jauntry and Thunderbird 2.0.0.21 as well. To verify this issue is not related to extensions, I disabled all I had (only two: German language pack and Lightning) and restarted Thunderbird. However, the problem persisted. What's strange is that w

[Bug 376612] [NEW] --bindmounts does not accept space-delimited list

2009-05-14 Thread Timo Reimann

[Bug 51492] Re: movemail problem

2008-06-10 Thread Timo Reimann
Karsten Düsterloh released a patch to fix the issue for Thunderbird 3, see the bug report. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be much interest in fixing the stable branch as well. Applying the patch to TB 2 works fine, but it still won't fix the bug. AFAICS, the only chance of getting any curren

Why would one want to install the -rt kernel if the aim is to save power by a tickless kernel? After all, real-time kernels come with much harder constraints as to timing parameters while conventional kernels are more tolerant to delays. Certainly, you can draw a lot of benefits from latter by, sa

2007-10-17 Thread Timo Reimann
I wasn't as precise as I should have been in my last comment: in fact, lame doesn't crash, but the ETA doesn't progress any further. So technically, it's freezing. I further noticed that this behavior cannot be reproduced on my laptop machine running Feisty as well. The problem only occurs on my s

Seems like I was reporting too early: Another CD fails again, encoding with lame 3.97 just stops in the middle of the process. The only thing that helps is aborting lame and re-trying. Of course, this is nothing but a temporary solution. By the way, I'm using lame's `--preset standard' option. -

I can confirm both that this bug persists in lame 3.96.1-2ubuntu1 under Feisty (as a matter of fact, on my system lame grinds to a virtual halt) and is fixed in 3.97-0.0 which I grabbed and backported from Gutsy. Consequently, the bug should disappear with the upcoming final release of Gutsy. Also

I can confirm that this bug still persists in Ubuntu feisty (7.04) using avidemux 2.3 from the official repository. In addition, I tried out avidemux 2.4 preview 2 from both Ubuntu packages (downloaded from getdeb.net) and compiled on my own. Both show the same non-functioning effect. It should be
