THis is not limited to unverified packages.
A couple of minutes ago, I did "apt-get --download-only" and my command
asked for quite a lot of packages, which I did NOT want istalled, just
downloaded.

The second one was the culprit. Turns out some another application

(that is if you also have problems with windows not being redrawn until they're

Disabling all mipmapping in ccsm should fix this.
