Can it be that with this packages, the initscripts on the CC and CLC
have changed from
eucalyptus-cloud (CLC)
eucalyptus-CC (CC)
to only "eucalyptus"? Because i installed the CC based on these packages
and and "restart eucalyptus-cc" did nothing, whereas a "restart
eucalyptus CLEAN=1" worked
I think the problem is related to the upgrade from Ubuntu 9.10 to 10.04.
As i said i tested this on a fresh installed 10.04 LTS and there is no
such issue. The machine where i encountered the problem was update from
9.10. Can somebody else confirm this?

I just retestet this on another machine and now this issue seems to have
gone away. I have to test further to see where this behaviour comes
from.

thats strange, after i started the first instance on this NC (it doesn't

I have a problem with my lvm package2. Every time i mount a VG, write data to
it and try to unmount it i get "device or ressource busy" until i reboot the
server. At this point, no process is using this vg (confirmend via "lsof" and
"fuser").

The problem exists even if i comment out the whole passwd/ section in my
preseed.conf. In this case, the installer asks me for a username and password,
but doesn't create the user either.
