Hi I have changed the file thats the problem, but the original version was like:
auto eth0 iface eth0 inet static address 192.168.0.2 netmask 255.255.255.0 gateway 192.168.0.1 auto eth0:1 iface eth0:1 inet static address 192.168.0.3 netmask 255.255.255.0 this eth0:X pattern was repeated until i had eth0:8. When i added the next virtual NIC eth0:9 and tried to restart the network config, i got the error saying "too much argmunents" To exclude that the error is related to the VMWARE/VMXNet Network Card you can test this with a physical machine (thats what i havent done so far).
