Using Ubuntu 16.04. Firefox Version 72.0.2. Both HULU and Google maps
now state that my location could not be determined. Location sharing
previously worked, so I assume that it is a bug. Mozilla Technical
Support believes that the problem resides in the Ubuntu repository

The bug appears to be resolved. I am not currently experiencing any
issues. I have changed the status to "confirmed", but it does not seem
appropriate from the perspective that I am not an Independent third
party to validate this but. Anyway, the issue appears to be resolved.

Did a "fresh" install of 16.04 a couple of days ago. Network discovery is
acting better.
Furthermore, the lack of others reporting/having this problem points to this
issue being specific to my one computer. I guess this bug report can be closed.

I will do a totally "fresh" install of 16.04.1 in the near future.

Nope, the "bug", if it is a "bug" is still there. Issue is still
erratic, meaning that it is occasional. If it does not go away, I will
do a "fresh" install of 16.04 after the next release.

Solved? This issue may be resolved. On June 17, 2016 Ubuntu issued an
update to "**files**". I have rebooted numerous times and the network
configuration icons displayed correctly. Again, only time will tell if
the issue is truly solved.

No improvement noticed after numerous reboots. Please not, this issue is
erratic. It does not appear all the time nor does it generate an error
message. Obviously that type of problem is difficult to diagnose. Also
it does not seem that others are having a problem either.

Since my original post, I have been poking at the issue. I noticed that
in Ubuntu 16.04 that IPv6 was enabled, on my computer. On my Ubuntu
14.04, IPv6 was set to "ignored". So I also set IPv6 to "ignored" on

Just upgraded to Ubuntu 14.04 and lost my network connection to MYSQL.
Based on what I read above, I obtained a new Native MSQL Connector here:

You can delete this bug report. I was unable to locate a reason for why
the upgrade from 13.10. to 14.04 failed. I went ahead and installed
14.04 directly from the CD.

I am pleased to announce that the on-line upgrade from Ubuntu 13.10 to
14.04 went very smoothly. A quick test did not display any issues. Time

Interesting. In my very first post, making a live boot of Ubuntu 14.04
failed at the Ubuntu splash screen with the Radeon card installed. In
today's test, the live boot of Ubuntu 14.04 made it all the way to
displaying the desktop with the Radeon card installed.

For the live boot medium I used a USB flash drive with the version of
Ubuntu 14.04 as it was originally released in April 2014.
First Test: I booted the computer without making any modifications. It
booted into the live version of 14.04. The boot process successfully
made it to displaying the des
Thanks for the response. I reverted back to Ubuntu 13.10 in April since
the install of 14.04 failed. Ubuntu 13.10 works and I have no issue with
it booting. I will wait awhile before trying to reinstall Ubuntu 14.04.

The print driver supplied by Ubuntu is 5.2.6.
The colors do not register correctly. Documents with one color (black) work
