the older posts the developers say that fixing the bug would require a major
change in compiz's core which would compromise it's stability. But compiz is an

The problem is that with kubuntu 13.04 the script is not called even though

After today's update the compiz from the vanvugt repository has stopped working.
compiz-plugins-main and compiz-lugins-main-default was updated which are not
provided by the ppa.
A lot of plugins are not loaded, all of them complain that a symbol is missing:

After downgrading my nvidia driver the issue seems to be disappeared. (I don't
really understand the interdependencies of the packages but I removed the
nvidia-current package and installed nvidia-glx-173; I guess my driver will not
be automatically updated.)

I had to downgrade to the compiz found in maverick because it seems that nobody
cares that compiz is unusable.
The only downside is that ccsm does not work so I guess I will try to edit the
config file by hand.

This is a very serious bug for me, it makes compiz unusable!
While I can fix a window by minimizing it, I can't fix for example cairo-dock.
Only by restarting it.
And anyway it is very annoying having to minimize some of my windows every
three minutes or so.

I have a fully updated Natty with fglrx but turning off mipmaps in the Expo
plugin does not correct the bug for me.
Just a few quick window switching arises the problem for me with many different
windows including pidgin, gcalctool, firefox, geany, chromium etc

with the window contents not being refreshed is not related to the color

I tested the problem with the latest downloadable Gutsy kernel (2.6.22-14-386)
